I know that in Star Wars and several other sci-fi films there is extremely unrealistic technology and science usage (e.g., droids having emotions), and that it gives the movies an unrealistic look for some people.
Can I Find Unreasonable Science and Technology Examples in Star Wars and Explain Why it is Unreasonable Compared to Our Current Technology? - By: Regan R.
JJ Reflection:This project has been the most fun project I have done in passion time. Tyler and I really got to express our imagination really far. I would definitely recommend this project to other people doing genius hour or passion time. I was hard managing time though because we had to schedule a time to try our sport but we ended up getting it done. We made two sports but we got only one of them done. For a type of project like this I would really recommend a partner for this one. This project was awesome and I would definitely recommend this. One of the few things that was bad was that my partner and I disagreed on a lot of things trying to create it but as soon as we got an idea things were so fun.
Tyler Reflection: I loved this project so much, it was totally my favorite project yet. Everything that we did was right JJ and my ally from coming up with the whole idea of it to making the high light reel. I highly recommend our video for people to watch because it has amazing music in the background, has a funny part in the middle, has amazing shots, catches and passes (don't mean to brag.) The only thing that was hard about was that we didn't get to play our second sport balfling, because we probably spent to much time on making the high light reel but thats it. Some advise that I would give to others about future projects is if you like doing research you can do it, but I found that doing something that you can actually try out and do like this. I love this project so so much and I'm glad that I picked JJ as my partner because he likes the same things that I do and it was a really good partnership. I do have another regret though, it's how I top this project for round 6.
What is the Cadillac cars evolution horse and carriage through modern cars?(I'm only doing 1946 and 2017 cadilacs) TJ
I thought I would like it more than I actually did because it was really hard to understand what the websites said because they talked about I think gas.
I had a lot of fun taking apart the camera. I thought that I would never find out how it worked (I did). But it was a easy proses to understand. It wasn't as hard to take apart as I thought.I learnd how the camera worked.
I think that I did well on this project, I enjoyed this topic that I choose. I really wish that I could have done a Weebly website, it would have been really cool. I wish that I could have done multiple models of the solar system to represent the different theory's of how the solar system works. My Trello card was extremely short and I wish that I could have made it longer I think that my KWH was decent and I also think my LAQ was good too. I am going to answer the questions that are in my what questions do I still have column. I am very glad that I did this topic and I hope that I can learn from it when I am doing my next round of passion time.
I loved this project it might have been my favorite, this is by far the most detailed stop motion movie I have ever made. I enjoyed working with my partner, Regan. She knew what we were doing so it made it very easy.Overall this project was so much fun and I think my partner thought it was too. I think we ran out of time and were not able to finish but this is the best stop motion movie I have ever made. We have added sound effects to the movie and people are dying to see it. I think we worked very well together, and are set for the battle on Kashyyyk was pretty big and the biggest I have ever made. So I ended having my favorite passion time project and I think others will like it too!
I found this project very fun, and I think it was probably one of my favorite Passion Time projects. This is by far the longest stop motion video I have ever made, and I think getting along really well really benefited the entire project. We had an expectation for a longer video, but it ended up being plenty long without meeting our expectation (time purposes). I feel that we were very on topic throughout the making of the video, and that helped us make the video thoroughly. Overall, I feel that we were successful with the project along with having fun.
Can we take apart a remote control helicopter, learn how it works and make our own out of the materials? By: Stephen and Matthew
In this passion time round I had lots of fun taking apart the helicopter and making a new one out of the parts. It was really fun experimenting the arrow dynamics and trying to make an eraser. I am really glad my friend Ryan let us use his motors and his cords to let us try to make a helicopter. It was fun to learn what each part of the helicopter did and how it helped the helicopter fly. I was hard to try and create the helicopter on the eraser because we had to be able to mount the motor and the cords on the eraser. It was also hard to identify what each part was for and what it did. It was also very fun to make our videos because we were able to tell everyone what each part did how they are able to make their own remote control helicopter.
In this passion time round I really liked our project because I have always been wondering how a remote control helicopter has enough power to lift off the ground and how they got it so light. But know with this passion time project I learned about all of that like the motor are smaller than an inch tall and how the spin fast enough to lift 0.05 ounces. I also really liked building a prototype that glided along the ground by using motors and wires to try and make something fly although it didn't fly I want to thank my friend Ryan for letting us use the motors. I thought it was really fun taking apart a helicopter and trying to make more models for our helicopter. I really liked working with Stephen and making the videos with him, I though this was a really fun doing this project and I really learned a lot.
I really liked this project a lot. When we picked this project I knew that I defiantly would love to do this project. Some things that were difficult during this project were when we couldn't find out what to research, when we couldn't find which weddings to do, and when we had to squeeze in the last wedding that we did. When we couldn't find out what to research we were try and trying to find the perfect website we eventually found close to the perfect website. When we find which weddings to do we were in the middle of 8 periods left and couldn't decide between Chinese, African, and Italian this part of the time was hard but not as hard as when we had to squeeze everything in into the deadline. When we had to do that we were trying so hard to finish on time. Even though all of these things were hard we got through them. When we were doing this project there were ups too! For example, when me and my partner Giuliana found out all of the thing we were going to research. Also, when we were shooting our videos and we were asking each other if everything is good and goign well. Overall I really liked my partner and this project!
I personally loved this project. First of all, Cassidy is a very reliable, fun partner. I couldn’t have done it without her. Also, I got to learn about a very special, fun day: The wedding day. It was awesome to see how similar weddings are throughout cultures, no matter how far apart they are. Even though there were so many complications, like not enough time to finish things and no pictures of what we were looking for, we finished with a strong, informational website.
How do the books after Return of the Jedi (1983) and The Force Awakens (2015) differ and how do they connect? By: Jeremy
I really enjoyed this passion time round. I enjoyed it especially because I was researching my favorite topic in the world as well as the fact that I was able to make a cool website. It was fun gathering the information and I think I learned a lot about the star wars canon. I think gathering the information was hard because most websites focus only on the movies. It wasn't boring at all because it was about star wars and that is awesome. I think if you wan't to research a topic as in depth as this was you should have a lot of background knowledge first because you will spend 99% of your time researching if you don't and 75% of the time researching even if you do. Overall this was a awesome project and was really fun
