Reflection/Synthesis:
Answer the following questions in your blog post. Remember to have at least one follow-up sentence for each question, when possible.
  1. Name your Control Variables (What will stay the same for each of the three cups)?
  2. Name the Independent Variable (What is it that is different for each of the three cups)?
  3. Name your Dependent Variable (What is it that you are testing & recording data on?)
  4. What data are you collecting to serve as Evidence to show how plants grow in organic material versus inorganic planting material?
  5. Why is everyone starting with the same three cups? Why do we need to test so many plants?
  6. What sprouts first in a seed: the stem or the root? How do you know?
  7. How do the pictures below prove your answer for #6?
Answers:
  1. In three different cups only soil (Popcorn Kernels) stay the same.

  2.  In first cup is little plant. In rest of the cups is no plant in there.
  3. First cup is 2.1 CM. Second cup is 0 CM.Third cup is 0 CM.
  4. I collecting data from my sheet with every information about every plants.
  5. Everyone need start from three same cups because after experiment we can see difference from cup NR. 1,NR.2 and NR.3.We need to test so many plants to now difference between the other kinds of plants.
  6. Root is first because we had a lesson about plants germination and I know this from the lesson.
  7. When root start germination color is white and when stem start germination color is green.

Independent Variable

  • plant seeds in different kinds of soil(e.g potting soil, per lite, sand etc.)

Dependent Variables

Reflection/Synthesis:
Answer the following questions in your blog post. Remember to have at least one follow-up sentence for each question, when possible.
  1. Plants need energy and matter to grow. Where do plants get their ENERGY?
  2. Where do plants get their MATTER?
  3. Where do plants get their FOOD (be careful - this is a trick question)?
  4. Why are plants called Producers?
  5. What would happen if plants didn't have a way to get energy?
  6. What would happen to animals if there were no plants to eat?
  7. What are some of the LIVING components of a plant "system"? (A plant "system" is everything that a plant needs to survive and everything it produces.)
  8. What are some of the NON-LIVING components of a plant "system"?
  9. In what ways do the components of the system interact?
  10. What matter is transported in and out of the plant system?
Answers:
  1. Plants get their energy from sun and water.
  2. Plants get Matter from photosynthesis so that is Air,Carbon Dioxide,Water,Sun and Soil.
  3. Plants make their food in they lives this process is called Chlorophyll, an make food the plant can use from carbon dioxide, water and from sun.
  4. Plants are called producers because they make their own food.
  5. When plants don't have a way to get energy Plants die like a human when we don't have energy we won't sleep but we can't and we can't do nothing we are not strong we don't have enough strength to do something so Plant die because Plant can't do they own food.
  6. Every animal die when is no Plants on the world because some animals need Plants to live because is they food and other animals need food so when Plants die whole food Chain and ecosystem die and humans die because We don't have a food so is not world when Plants is not here everything die.
  7. Roots, stem and leaves.
  8. Water, Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide.
  9. Roots take the water in to the  plant .Stem interact with Sun.
  10. Plant Breath Carbon Dioxide and give out Oxygen. A plant take nutrients and give a fruit.
