Nature's Waste Matter

Where do you think the items came from originally?
Do you think the items look the same today as they did a month ago?
What happened to the matter in each item over the past month?
Do you think the items will be the same forever? Why or why not?
What do all of the items in the bag have in common?
Do you notice any relationships between the items in the bags? They all...
What evidence do you have that the items were all once part of a living thing?
Another name for "nature's waste" is "organic remains." These are all organisms that are no longer living, or parts of organisms that are discarded, excreted, or no longer needed. What other examples of organic remains can you think of?
What would happen to each item from your bag if it were left outside? What might it look like in 6 months? What would cause it to change?
What would eventually happen to the waste MATTER in each type of organic remain?
Why isn't the earth just piled up with all the matter from nature's waste?
Why could all of the items in the mystery bags be classified as nature's waste?
Do you think that all living things generate waste? What makes you think that?

Answers:

They all originally came from plants because they all can be traced back to plants for example, the pine needle it comes from a pine tree.
No because a month ago they would be less near the process of de-comp.
The matter started to look old and start to fall apart and get closer to being recycled and turning into dirt.
No because nature always recycles it's waste so we don't have a hole pile of waste from a plant and or tree.
They all can be traced back to a plant because they have either fallen of a tree or be taken of a tree.
The all have either fallen from a tree or from a plant.
The evidence that I have that they were coming from a living thing is that most of them were wood and or a leaf.
Some examples of organic remains are leafs, tomatos(They are picked of the tomato plant), lettuce, and pine needles.
In some cases it would look like dirt and have finished the process of de-comp and have been recycled.
It would be recycled back into the ecosystem as soil, and then repeat the hole process because it's going to grow other plants.
It's not just piled up because natures waste is recycled and is reusable. That's the good thing about nature it recycles its own waste.
They would all be classified as natures waste because plants are apart of nature and they all come from plants.
Yes I do because for example, when we breathe in something or eat something and there are parts that we don't need that is waste.

Answers:

I'm trying to explain what happens to matter when it enters the process of decay. I also am trying to explain what happens to matter when its finished the process.
What different stages of decay are?

Answers:

No because overtime it starts to get older like a human when they get old enough they'll maybe die.
It didn't change that much because it takes longer for it to decay and break down into soil.
I don't have any evidence because it didn't break down during the investigation.
The thing that made our organic items to change is the same reason that we get old and die, it has a lifespan that is different for every plant.
No, because we have a lifespan the same as plants.
The evidence that I have is that the items didn't change during the investigation and that's why there are no landfills of natures waste
Something that could change the investigation is if we had different materials and or if the items where in a different stage of decay.

What matter is transported in and out of the plant system?

Answers:

Plants get there energy from the sun, because of a process called photosynthesis the plants turn sunlight into food then they eat that to create energy.
Plants get there matter from the food that they eat. Like us when we eat we get bigger and stronger.
They get there food from both the soil and the sun. The soil provides nutrients and the sun provides food and energy.
They are called producers because they produce there own energy so they don't need to eat in order to survive.
Then the plants would die, herbivores would die or have to become a Carnivore, Carnivores would die because they eat the herbivores.
Then there would be no food for the herbivores and then there would be no food for the carnivores because there were no meat. Then the omnivores would die because no meat or plants.
There are no living components in a plant system exempt for the plant itself.
Some non-living things in a plant system are carbon dioxide, water, soil, and oxygen.
The roots of the plants interact with the soil. The air interacts with the plant and spits out oxygen. Water interacts with the soil.
Oxygen and other things that the plant doesn't need is transported out of the plant after photosynthesis is complete.

As a result of looking at food labels, what did you learn about food?
Look at the ingredients of one human food label. Write down the food name. What ingredients came from animals?
What ingredients in the above food label came from plants?
What similarities and differences did you notice between the human food and pet food labels you looked at?

Answers:

I learned that the things you see on a nutrition label can't always be true because of the amount of servings are in that food.
When I looked at the chicken salad label I noticed that their was a grilled chicken breast strips which come the animal part.
When I looked a the chicken salad label I saw that their was lettuce and tomatoes which come from a plant.
Some similarities are that they both have ingredients in common like Calcium, Salt, and Vitamin A. Some differences are that they are positioned different, on the dog food it says guaranteed analysis but not on the human food, and one has zinc and one doesn't.
A Spider, It eats smaller insects like a grasshopper or a ant. I think it gets energy from its food the same way we do.

Answers:

Food provides energy for animals and humans in order to move.
Yes because they all can be traced back to plants, that also proves that we get all our energy from the sun.
Yes and no because calories provide energy but if you don't burn of the calories then you get bigger.
Calium helps us grow and helps our bones stregthen.
The sun gives us food because all the energy from the sun because the energy from the sun goes into the plants and then is made into food that we eat.
Energy transfers to the food then a animal then another animal because the other animal ate them etc.
160 calories, calories creates energy but if you don't burn that off then you'll grow bigger.
Food is matter, because matter is everything, we are all matter.

Answers:

Each ingredient can be traced back to plants. Even if your eating a burger that can be traced back to plants, first, burger was a cow which eats grain or grass.
They can be traced back to the sun because they can be traced back to plants it just goes a step longer. The plants use the sun to get energy, for example grass needs the sun to survive.
All food because plants are producers they produce plants that produce fruit, vegetables then those get eaten by animals which get eaten by us.
All because the sun is a key ingredient for a plant growing except at the beginning of it's life running on its seed.
The energy is transferred into a plant which is transferred into a food which is transferred into a meal, and finnaly into us.

Then it is going to send a wave that would cause us to die because almost every food can be traced back to plants.
Some living components of a plant system are the plant it self.
Some non-living thing's in a plant system are Air,(carbon dioxide, oxygen), soil, and sunlight.
They interact in the air ground or inside a plant.
Oxygen is transported out of the plant because the plant only needs the carbon dioxide part of the Co2.

Answers:

Living things get nutrients and energy from there ecosystems because of food chains and food webs. One example of a food chain is grass(Producer) ,Bunny(Consumer),Snake(Consumer),Hawk(Consumer), then a Wolf(Consumer).
My answer is in number 1.
The word ecosystem means the actions that happen between living and non-living things. That action helps the living things to live.
How many ecosystems are there in the world? How many different types are there?

Some living things include Deer, Trees, Grass ,Frogs, Birds, and the organisms all around the land. Non-Living things include Rocks, Clouds, Water, Soil, Leaves once they have fallen to the ground, and the minerals in the soil.
The first inter action that I see is the deer are eating the grass, the rocks are laying on the soil, the water hitting the shore, the birds make nests in the trees, the organisms on the top of the water, and the fish swimming in the water.

We started with a o' so loud liftoff there was the sound of sirens propulsion and a lot of loud sounds. Right when I got into space I felt a weight lifted of my soldiers then I jumped and stayed up for about five minutes and that was awesome! But then I thought about what the adventure going to be like, away from my family and then that’s when the happiness took a turn and jumped off a cliff. I thought about how I was going to miss my dog Sarge he was a good friend. Then I thought I’d turn in early I slipped into my sleeping bag velcroed to the wall and slept like a baby. Day two I started by doing my morning exercise for about two hours I lifted about 1,000 pounds for about fifteen minutes then hit the treadmill and felt GREAT I felt refreshed and drank some water. Then had some nice dried nuts to fill me up with protein. But then I wondered "What is this trip going to be like? What was going to happen?" but then I thought about the science and evolution this trip had, to be the first on MARS.

I am Muhammad Ajam an Inventor from Dubai, in The United Arab Emirates, it would be very important to have an inventor because you will need help handling the sand storms that can last for weeks! I would enjoy going to Mars because I would be one of the most important jobs because without me they would die because of the sandstorms that would last for a while.
