What Do We Already KNOW?
We know how to bake because we have both tried it, we also know about some ingredients that we could use to make certain desserts. We know how to read recipes and how to find smart and easy dishes to make.
What Did We Learn?
We learned, that as bakers, mistakes are ok! We had one recipe that really did not work out, but we learned that the ingredients we used for the recipe, just didn't work! We also learned that it was nice to look back at our hard work and, well, eat it! The most important thing about this project was celebrating successes, and learning from failures! The recipes we used also made us smarter in the baking world.
What Do We WANT to know?
We want to know how to make certain desserts like chocolate mouse, red velvet cupcakes, vanilla cake, brownies, chocolate cake, and cookies! We also want to learn different recipes if we finished all the things we want to make.
What ACTION Did We Take?
We had to take a LOT of action for this project. Almost every period, we made a new batter for us to make! And if we had extra time, we would plan our next day! We where defiantly being proactive for this project because we basically planned everything! We planned who was bringing what ingredients, and what we where making! This was a great project, and I think we became better at teamwork because of it!
HOW Will We Learn This Information?
We will use the ingredients that Mr. Solarz provided us and we will make tutorials that shows how to step by step mix all the desserts. Then one of us will take the mix home and bake it. When we see the result, we will take a picture of it and then share the yummy treats between ourselves and Mr. Solarz.
What QUESTIONS Do We Still Have?
If we had made all of the desserts correctly, what would it feel like to be successful all the time?
Have others made the same mistakes as we have?
Is our website helpful to other bakers?
How does baking effect people if it is a life commitment?
What was hard about this passion time project was that at some times we didn't have the right ingredients, or we didn't have some specific bowl that we needed. Another hard part was the actual cooking part. But for some reason that part was also the most fun part! What I would do differently next time is that I would make sure (if I did this passion time project over again for some weird reason) that I for sure had the ingredient I was assigned to before I actually said yes to bringing it. Some advice that I would give is to make sure to be able to improvise to a problem so that your whole desserts isn't ruined. Some boring parts were when we had to write the trello card, even though it was easy and very necessary for the project it was still kind of boring. But 1 really fun thing was making the videos during when we were cooking and when we made it at the end. I really liked this project, and even though I have said this before, I think that this project was my favorite so far!
This project was so much fun! I got to look at what the future would be like, and I learned so much about my partner and myself! I never knew that I like technology so much! It was so cool to research and see futuristic things that we didn’t put on our website! I also liked how amazing my partner was! He challenged me but also encouraged me! I also liked that I went back to a researching project because my last one was really long and didn’t include any researching! But this project still had challenges! It was so hard to find enough facts for the mobile phones page on our website! It was hard to find a phone that would interest others and give them some new facts that they had never seen before! Luckily, my partner helped me and it worked out! Something I want to do next time is try harder and find more facts! I really liked this project and hope to do something like this in the future!
