In the picture above shows the air quality in different countries. Red is bad, green is good. |
What do we Know? Pollution can be found in liquid, gas or solid form. In some parts of Asia people had to wear doctors masks because there is so much pollution. Humans are ruining the Earth in many ways, a main way is pollution. Pollution is a problem we need to work on preventing, as we have already done so much damage. What did we Learn? We learned that some countries need to stop polluting as much as they do right now and that some countries do not pollute as much as we think they do. Also we learned that it is not just cars and factories polluting it is the human beings that live in that area. We learned that Sudan needs to stop polluting as much as they do right now!! | What do we want to know? We want to know our essential question. We want to know what part of the world contributes to pollution the worst. We also want to know how the pollution has put many countries in danger. We are wondering how populated area's pollution has been effecting Antarctica. What Action did we take? We made a poster about the pollution in different countries. we also made an iMovie explaining both of our charts. | How will we find the information? We will use any books that are about are topic. We might ask an expert (Environmentalist). We also will use the internet for are main source of information. What Questions do we still have? We still wonder about why countries don't try to stop polluting as much. Also why is Sudan so polluted? Why is Egypt so much more polluted than the U.S.A. What other things other than water, the air, and indoor spaces? How do the people measure air quality? |
I really liked this passion time project because I have always wondered about the pollution in different countries. When we were brain storming projects I was really happy that we picked pollution. Even though I loved this passion time project there was some difficulties too. One difficulty was we could not find a website for the pollution rates until there was 6 periods left. We also ran into a bump when we made all of our countries and then we decided that we had to change all of them because we could not find anything on those countries. Even though there was many bumps in the road there were some times where there was no bumps to be seen and we just plugged away. The times we plugged away were when we (finally) found out what we were actually doing. Another time was when we were making the posters because we both would work on one and get it done quickly. I really liked this passion time!!
Rachel's Reflection:
This passion time project was really very fun. There were definitely bumps and times that everything went wrong or we totally messed something up. But it all worked out in the end. This was also a relatively fun project. Cassidy was a fun partner to work with and I am glad I did a project with her. We really had many many many ideas about what to do but it all worked out in the end. Our chart/graph came out very good. The only thing I wished we found was a better website; it made our chart pretty confusing. But other wise it turned out great. I learned a lot of things, some of which weren't even the main focus of our project. One of which is about Sudan it is super polluted! One of our countries, Egypt was the most polluted. I really thought that India or the U.S.A would be the most polluted. I also learned to operate iMovie much quicker, better, and more efficiently. Overall this was a very fun passion project.
