What did I LEARN?
Here is what I learned all in one link: docs.google.com/document/d/1LwWrgSzwGWlqqkEXAs9UDO5-F05ZyUOVrjysTNZsH1A/edit?usp=sharing
What do I WANT to know?
I want to know when and why it started. I want to know a quick list of the best players and who invented it. I want to know basically the main idea of softball and why everything is called that.
What ACTION will I take?
I will show my work on a poster and show my friends and family the work that I have done. I will also tweet my project onto twitter to get the word out about my project.
HOW will I learn it?
I will research with the internet and books with all of the softball websites and records. I am really excited to learn about softball. I will also use some of my prior knowledge.
What QUESTIONS do I have now about the topic?
I learned all about softball and how sit originated. Softball was originally made as indoor baseball so that it could be played in the winter. Then it was reinvented as an outdoor game for girls. I also learned about the top five best softball athletes and their positions. They are Jennie Finch- Pitcher, Cat Osterman- Pitcher, Kelly Barnhill- Pitcher, Lauren Chamberlain- First Base, and Monica Abbott- Pitcher. The most fun part was making my poster because I got to print pictures and draw the positions. I love softball so that is why I did a passion time about it and it was so much fun to learn about something that I like to do. The most difficult part of this passion time was when I had to learn about how softball originated. I had to go to many different websites to find and confirm all of the facts and stories. The easiest thing to do was to glue all of the papers onto the poster because I could just put them right onto the poster. I had a really fun passion time.
