Reflection:
Kyren:
This catapult project was fun and educational because it showed me the purposes of different parts of the catapult. I learned that the fulcrum provided the base and that you needed some support when you have a catapult that bends. We got the idea of shooting multiple balls from the catapult from someone else. It was also fun because we got to use the catapult to shoot stuff across the room. Somethings that I would do better were that To make it smaller that what it was yet still have it big. The easiest part was building it because of the duct tape. I think that this is my favorite project this year.
Calvin:
I learned that there is a lot of trial and error for the design process and that there is a lot more to making catapults than tension. The most fun part was probably experimenting with tension stability and weight as well as messing around with different functions of the catapult. It was difficult to add tension without making it shoot down or up to much, it was also difficult make it stable and it many tries to get it stable enough to move or shoot. The easiest part was finding materials to make the catapult with, meter sticks. Next time I would make sure to start with models and then go bigger instead of starting big and getting smaller.
