Reflection:
"If the world were a village" was an amazing and kind of sad book. The statistics were mind blowing! I wish everyone in the world got a fair salary (amounts will very depending on job); I want this because if everyone had enough money they could buy shelter, food, clothes and health care. I was definitely surprised when I heard that lots of people make less than $6 a day. That is definitely not enough to live a balanced, good life! I feel bad for people that have only the sun and few candles as light. Having electric lights is definitely a privilege. It makes me want to say to NASA, "It's 2016 and some people don't even have electric lights and you are spending all your time worrying about the size of Jupiter! If a classmate felt so strongly about a subject like this I would definitely join their campaign or foundation. I might even do a passion time project about one of these topics. | Image found on this website |
