Red States = Republican party. Blue States = Democratic party. Teal States = To close to call. Here is my explination of how the Electoral College works: When we vote we don't necessarily pick the president, we vote for the people who vote for the president. Known as the Electoral College. If the majority of our state picks Hillary Clinton, the Electoral College votes for Hillary. Then she has 20 electoral votes. If the majority of Florida picks Donald Trump, the Electoral College votes for Donald Trump. Then he has 29 electoral votes. The first canidate to 270 electoral votes is the new president. In the end Donald Trump has 276 votes, and Hillary Clinton has 218 votes. Here is my explination of why more states are red, but how Hillary Clinton still won the popualr vote: Hillary Clinton won our votes. She didn't win the Electoral College's votes though. She pleased most of America but, not the Electoral College. Since Donald Trump won the Electoral College's votes he became the president. Illinois has traditionally been a Democratic state when it comes to Presidential Elections. Explain why.
Illinois is traditionally a Democratic state because typically when a state has a big city the city is usually a Democratic. Then states that have more country or suburbs it is usually more of a Republican state. Whether you're happy or not, what are some things you hope that President Trump will be able to do for our country over the next four years. If you're not sure, Google it and research what his plans are. I hope that he stops illegal immigration but, doesn't build a wall and makes Mexico pay for it. I hope that he just makes the security stronger. I hope that he takes off the part of Obamacare that makes the government in charge of healthcare. I hope that he spends money on the military but, not so much that it makes a big cut in other important things. I hope that he keeps the air and water clean. He said that they were important to him but, will he spend time and money on it? Finally, I hope that he keeps some troops in Afghanistan to help them but not a whole lot of them.

In this activity we had to work with two partners.(Calvin, and Dylan.) We came up with five different activites to get our heart rate up or down. We used stephiscopes to check our heart rate after doing the activites. After we got all our data we made a bar graph to show our heart rates for each activity. The activity was fun.

Mia SchneiderI am Mia Schneider, a tailor from Berlin, Germany. It would be very important to have a tailor on the first manned mission to Mars because people need clothes as they grow, and as the clothes get worn out! The astronauts will also need new spacesuits, and I can do that too! I am excited to go on this adventure because we are setting up a new place for people to live, and it will be a once in a lifetime experience! Archives
