Whole-Class Discussion: Crime Scene Investigation!
Become a member of the CSI Team and determine how our classroom ice sculpture was stolen!
We had JUST purchased a beautiful ice sculpture of our school mascot on Monday for an event we were having on Tuesday night, and when we returned the next day it was gone! All the thieves left behind was this puddle of water! The big, old meanies! I never even got a picture of the ice sculpture before it was stolen! There goes $750 down the drain!
We decided to leave the evidence on the floor so the police could see it for themselves the next day, but the thieves must have returned Monday night, because the next day the puddle was completely gone! The floor was completely dry on Tuesday! Who steals a puddle of water??? What's the deal? What will they steal next?
The police tried explaining what happened to me, but they weren't making any sense. I wanted them to find the thieves, but all they kept talking about were scientific concepts like "changing states of matter" and "the water cycle." I didn't have time for a science lesson - I wanted justice!
Please find the thieves for me! I'll owe you big time!
