First we blasted off into space, and it was so loud it scared me! It was loud because we were blasting off. But it happened so quickly that I was not scared long. We got into space so fast that I almost felt like I was going to melt right there and then, I was really scared, but, after all were going to Mars which makes it all worthwhile. We finally got into space, and I went into the bathroom and took a shower. It was cold because It was in space. The showers were not heated because that would damage our energy and heat resources. That made it unpleasant, and I didn't like it at all.
I then had to go eat dinner, so I went into the kitchen area which was just a room with cabinets and drawers. In order to eat we had to take a packet of food out of a cabinet and squeeze all of the juice out of it until it was empty. Then it would hover in mid air! We did the same thing when drinking liquids because we needed to be careful about getting the circuits wet and destroy the entire rocket ship. I then ate the apple puree packet. It was air proof, so that it would not rot during the journey. I then called my mom at home, and it took 30 minutes just to get the call through to my mom. While I waited I waited for the call to go through, I monitored the flight gauges. The phone had surprisingly good quality for being thousands of miles away out of the outer layer of our earth's atmosphere.
