Reflection Questions 1. What three basic things do our bodies need in order survive? 2. If we exert ourselves, what are three (or more) signs that our bodies are in distress? Explain why our body does that (research it if you need to). 3. What can we do to make these signs go away? | Answers1. Three basic things that our body needs is food, water and shelter. Without food we would become hungry and overtime we would die. Without water we would become dehydrated overtime and later on, we would die. Without shelter we would be freezing cold in the winter, very hot in the summer, and when it rains, we would get soaking wet. After a period of time, we wouldn't survive. 2. We get cramps in our muscles, joint pain, and slowing down. We get cramps in our muscles because we are trying a new exercise or we are pushing ourselves to hard on an exercise. We get joint pain because of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, bursitis, gout, strains, sprains, and other injuries. We slow down because our muscles are getting fatigue and we don't have that burst of energy to have a good pace. 3. For cramps in your muscles, you can put cold ice on it and rest it. For joint pain you can put cold ice on it, take a warm bath, have a massage, and rest. |
