- All bones are hollow but, it has Bone marrow inside of it.
- There is a layer of spongy bone then the outer layer of compact bone.
- There are a tiny layer of Periostium which is a layer of cells.
- We have red and white blood cells.
- If we had solid bones we would weigh tons more.
- If you sprain an ankle or any other bone it is a muscle, not a bone.
- Your skull is like a helmet, it protects you.
- Our eyes, heart, lungs, trachea and esophagus are protected by our bones.
- An adult has 206 bones and baby's have 270 bones.
- Muscles pull on bones to move each bone.
- Our back is not perfectly straight it goes in and out.
- We make new cells when we grow.
- Adults have less bones because the bone marrow rubs off of the bone.
