1. Which activities increased your heart rate the most? 2. Which activities increased your heart rate the least? 3. Was the order in which you ranked the activities accurate? (It's good to be wrong!) Explain. 4. What changes did you notice about your heart rate as you became more active? 5. Why do you think your heart rate changed when you were more active? What inference can you make? (Use pages 65–66 of your reference book to help you answer this question.) | 1. Jumping and running. They increased it the most because I was the most active in them. And because I was doing more and it was harder to do so my heart rate was going up because it was harder activities. 2. Sitting, standing, and walking was kinda in the middle. They increased my heart beat the least because I was least active. Also since I wasn't doing a lot of things that were hard. 3. Yes it was accurate. Because it went from least to greatest. Also because I did lease harder things than did harder things. 4. I noticed that as I became more active It increased. It increased a lot from the beginning because I became more and more active. 5. I think it changed because I was doing more. It changed maybe because I was getting more tiered and more blood has to be pumped into the body because I am more active and the more active I get the more blood and oxygen I need. So it has to beat more times for me to get all the stuff I need. |
Reflection: We had to see how much our heart rate went up or went down while we were doing different things. I learned that the more times my heartbeat beat it was because of the activity I was dong to get all the blood I need around my body. It was fun doing the different types of activities and listening to my heartbeat faster and slower. It was tough finding my heartbeat every time because I would put the stethoscope on the same place I had it last time but then it would feel like it was in a new place.
