I think that video games can help kids learn concepts because they are more encouraging and fun. They are fun and I think that kids will definitely like video games more than papers and packets because papers are less fun, also kids would even play them outside of school because they are fun. They are a very fun way to learn and they work to, they make you understand concepts in order to beat parts of the game. Also most of them have a reword which encourages kids to play it more. Also the games are like virtual worlds and they show you what can happen. Like in money island it makes you show it that you learned everything it taught and you have to do what it says which is very fun.

Money island is one of the best learning games in my opinion, It helps understand concepts and you don’t want to stop playing it. Video games are fun in  money island It teaches you to save invest share and spend, and it really tests you on it like it made me spend at the big mall and to tilt the scales. I had to not spend as much and save a lot! Money island also taught me a lot, here is what I did and what I learned about money and keeping it safe to not go broke.

One Thing I learned was if you use your credit card to much it can make you pay more than you spent on the stuff you bought  because you owe the company. I also learned that when you invest in a building or property over the years I gets to be more money to buy  than it was when you bought it Also I learned that if you buy a company or invest in one it will be worth more so when you sell it you get a lot of money. Another thing I learned is when you pay your bills the money you gave up go’s to the public so they can pay for new roads, schools exedra. also I learned that when you start to earn a  paycheck most of your money will go to your wants and needs like bills the movies or a new phone.   Also you make money from your money in your bank account, and when you put your money in the bank it is insured by the government and it can not be taken. Also It gives you money in the game so that you can do things but you have to take a quiz and get some right in order to get the money. It talk’s about  making your financial kingdom grow by saving your money for bigger things. Finally we learned that I also think that if you if you still don't want to  do monney island you should try it and see how fun it is, you may even learn a thing or two about how to make money. So now that you have learned some of the things the game taught me you should make your students play Money Island.

1. Can you feel it when your pupils dilate?
2. Do you have any control over your pupils when they dilate?
3. What do we call this when a reflex happens without our control?
4. Why do our pupils get bigger in the dark and smaller in the light?
5. How does this reflex protect our eyes?
1. When my pupils  dilate they feel like I have to blink. It also feels like I can see more clear.
2.I don't have control over the reflex because our body makes us weather you want to or not.
3.We call this blink reflex because we blink to make it better to see.
4. Our pupils get bigger and smaller in the light and dark so that we can see more clear.
5.This protects our eyes by closing so we do not scratch our eyes and get blind.

  1. Who was your famous person and why were they famous?
  2. Why is it important for children to study specific people's lives from a time period in history?
  3. What was the hardest part about completing your Revolutionary War Hero Project? What made it hard?
  4. How did it make you feel to complete your Revolutionary War Hero Project without much help from adults? Why?
1.
My person was John Dickinson, and I think he is famous because he was one pf the first English men on America witch means he is one of the founding fathers. He was also one of the people who started the sons of liberty, and he owned a large tobacco plantation.
2.
It is important because if they never learn what happened they will not understand the laws. And it is important that we know our countries history.
3.
I think the hardest part of doing this was the thing link because I had to chop up the parts of the video.
4.
It was kind of hard because I had to measure and past stuff and I had to get all my info.

  1. Explain how you and your partner used only the sense of sight to catch the ruler.
  2. Explain how you and your partner used only the sense of hearing to catch the ruler.
  3. Explain how you and your partner used only the sense of touch to catch the ruler.
  4. Was it more difficult to catch the ruler using one of the senses as compared to the other? Explain.
  5. How could you use only the sense of smell to catch the ruler?
  6. How could you use only the sense of taste to catch the ruler?
  7. Explain how your senses, nerves, brain, and muscles in your fingers helped you catch the ruler for one of the senses explored. Use the Directing Your Muscles—The Nervous System chapter in your student reference book to help you.

    Time

    site 6

    hearing 1

    touch 11
1.  Me and my partner used the sense of sight to catch the ruler by just dropping it because we could see and knew where to catch it.
2.  My partner used the sense of hearing by saying 3, 2, 1 and then just dropped it.
3.  We used touch by giving each other a high five and then dropping it at the same time.
4. It was hard to do the touch because I did not think it would work and I did not grab it at the right time. It was easy to use the sense of sight because I could just grab it and I knew when to do so, as I could see it.
5. Humans do not have as good of a sense of smell as animals do.  Therefor, you could not use the sense of smell to catch a ruler.
6. Put a cookie in your mouth when you drop the ruler so that you are rewarded with a cookie when you catch the ruler.
7. Our brain tells us what is going to happen and we catch it because of what we know, the paper said that our brain knows what is happening and without thinking we do it. Like it said,
''It uses this information to make a decision that keeps your body running as it should.''

Describing an Apple

3/3/2015

    It smells  sour

·      Bumpy

·      Wet

·      Slimy

·       fuzzy in the middle and shiny.

·      Once you dig in it is hard in the middle.

·      There is a brown juice coming out.

·      It's truing brown.

·      When we poke the apple we are poking the cells of the apple and they pop and juice comes out.

·      There is white stuff in the middle of the seed that’s in the apple.

·      It is mushy.

I was able to  observe these things because the apple was split in half and I could see the inside of it.

It is important because without it you can't go back to what you started.

I used the sense of touch the most because I took the apple apart and I could feel it.  I also used the sense of sight to observe what the apple looked like. Finally, I used the sense of smell to smell the sweetness of the apple.
