In this meeting Mr Solarz shares 5 different ways to show love. This is important because everyone has to know how to show love. The love languages are: Receiving Gifts-  Most kids show love by receiving gifts. has your brother or sister gave you gifts for a special reason? They are showing love by receiving gifts. Another love language is Words of Affirmation- This is where you show words of how you love each-other. Have you ever heard your mother say I love you? Most parents show words of affirmation by doing this. Another was physical touch where you would show love by High fives and more. Also acts of service is doing things that your parents or someone wants you to do something like clean your room or do the dishes. the last one is Quality time where you spend time with the people you love or care about.

I am Leyla Tiryaki (persona name) and the Oregon Trail so far has been quite a ride. When we first got on the trail the transporter transported us here. We started coming up with things to bring on our way. We tried to debate which foods would last for a long time and which ones would not last long. We decided that one thing that was really important to bring was bacon. It would last for a long time and the bacon fat would be used for other things as well. The main place we want to head to is the west for better life and many other good reasons. We also needed a wagon to carry all of the supplies that we needed on the way. But... we cant use the wagon without something pulling it. That's why we bout wagons and Oxen. When we were crossing a river one day, Matilda Falk got her foot badly infected that we tried to heal it but there was nothing we could do. So... we amputated it! Also Iskander Alatas, got very ill and we decided to keep him for awhile until we got to a fort and decided to leave him there. Our doctors did our best but no one is perfect!

 Playing a video game in math class can be really fun.  What are some of the other benefits of playing video games to learn concepts? (Two or more sentences)
2. Pretend that our school district is banning Money Island from the curriculum.  Using strong examples of
what you've learned, politely fight to keep this program around!  (What have you learned from Money
sland?)  Write a persuasive/argumentative essay that can convince them to keep it around.  Organize
your thoughts before you start writing.  It should follow the same format as our Human Body Research
Papers. (3-4 paragraphs).
1. Sure playing video games can be fun but not beneficial. Well Money Island is fun and Beneficial. It teaches you purposes in life that you will need for the future such as the purposes of saving, spending, sharing, and investing. Also when you are playing a video game such as money island, sometimes you dont even realize that you are learning something when you are having so much fun, you dont realize that you are learning sooo much!

Hello there. I know you may think that playing video games is a waste of childrens academic life. yes, very true. But, there is one thing I strongly disagree about. Are you thinking of the right video games? Think twice about what differences a simple game named money island can do in the world of academics.

Money Island is not a waste of your time. You learn what you will have to know in the future. Or pretty much any day. The main things you learn are how to save, spend, share, and invest money. This is very valuable. Money Island is not the video game that is not teaching you anything. It is a video game needed for life. You will get to the fun parts such as choosing a character and more! There will be adventures and you will even open up a savings account in money island! You can buy things for your tiki house with your money from paychecks that you earn and money from your savings account! 

Yes it is not just boring, students will learn to have fun and learn at the same time. But thats not all of it. There is still more about this game that is very benficial.

While you are on your adventure to save stone broke, (a fun rock) You learn many things along the way. Though to make sure you are getting what you are learning, there are little quizzes that you take to get your pay check. If you get a high score in your quiz, you get a pay check. Yo8u can not move on if you do not understand what you are learning. This is one of the most important things in money island. You will learn but make sure you understand. Then, you will feel good about yourself after you just got a pay check!

As you can see, money Island is basically a mini game about how money works. HERE IS SOME MORE!!

There is also a money pie which has four pieces, the saving piece, the spending piece, the investing piece,  and the sharing piece. This is a way to remember the four main ideas of money island. Also, you have to be able to know what each piece means or what its purpose is. You have to save money to get the things you desire. But that also goes with spending. Spend your money carefully or else you will not be very finacially smart. Invest your money becasue it is important. Share your money if you have some extra, it is always a pleasure to give the ones in need what they dont have. You will also feel good about yourself. Make sure to visit the library to learn some financial words to keep your intellegence.

As you can see, Money Island is very valuable and has a purpose in the youths understanding. This will help in the future and this is why money island should not be banned.

  • I think that Mikey/Teo Izzi should contact NASA so they could know that we landed.
  • We should then have Lucas and Charlie should build the windmills so then we can have electricity.
  • I think that once we landed that then we should then send Chris should go with Hasanain/Aldaberto Silva should go to the poles and collect the water. And make the drill.
  • Then I would think that we should then make the domes so Madi and Tucker should work on that.
  • We can start planting the foods so the gardener Hanna/Alexandrine Haberle.
  • Emily, Nicky, Kaela, and Mr. Solarz should make sure everyone is healthy and feeling safe.
  • Bela: Make the animals safe.
  • Everyone else: Unload the spaceship and help build the dome.
  • Maybe at the end we might need to build the MOXIE. Maybe in a couple of weeks.
