1. The cold water started to get warmer. Then after we waited a little longer the warm water and the cold water started to become the same temperature.
2.The hot water line started to move down and the cold water line started to move up. After a while the temperature line of the hot and cold water intersected. Then the hot water line and the cold water line were almost at the same temperature.
3. I noticed that at the end of the experiment both of the waters were almost the same temperatures.I also noticed that the almost all of the ice that was in the outside cup had melted.
4.Cold water got warmer because the heat from the warm water transferred into the cold water which made the ice cubes melt also. The warm water got colder because the heat was leaving the warm water.
5.The water did not go through the red solo cup. I know because there were not any holes in the red Solo cup.
6.The heat energy moved straight out of the cup into cold water.
