- More than half of the people of the global village come from the 6 most populated countries.
- In the global village there are almost 6000 languages but more than half of the people speak these 8 languages...
- 21 speak Chinese, 16 speak Mandarin.
- 9 speak English
- 9 speak Hindi
- 7 speak Spanish
- 4 speak Arabic
- 4 speak Bengali
- 3 speak Portuguese
- 3 speak Russian
- One fifth of the village is 9 years old or younger
- More than half of them are under 30.
- 9 of the villagers are children under age 5
- 10 are children between 5 and 9
- 18 are between 10 and 19
- 17 are between 20 and 29
- 15 are between 30 and 39
- 12 are between 40 and 49
- 9 are between 50 and 59
- 6 are between 60 and 69

- The village will increase by 12 people every 10 years
- But many countries are getting smaller due to moving.
- There are many different religions

- 31 sheep and goats

- 250 chickens, there are twice as much chicken than humans in the global village.
- 30 people in the village do not have a reliable source of food and are hungry.
- 17 people are severely undernourished and are always hungry.
- So, 47 of the people in the village do not have food security. They cannot always be sure that they'll have enough to eat.
- 53 villagers are food secure they have enough to survive and thrive.
- Air and water.
- Not all villagers are not good or short supply.
- 87 have access to the source of clean water.
- The other 13 spend a lot of time trying to get clean water.
- 62 have access to have clean sanitation like poop and pee go into sewage disposal.
- But 38 of the people in the village ave risks of diseases of sewage disposal.
- 68 breathe clean air while 32 breathe unhealthy air because of pollution.
- School and Work
- Some don't have school and some do
- Or some just can't afford it.
- There are 36 school-aged villagers ages 5-24.
- But only 30 of them attend school.
- There are 1 teacher for these students.
- The other 6 village children who could be in school are working instead.
- 3 of them work around the house or businesses.
- 3 are remaining child laborers.
- they work in fields, factories and mines.
- They sell things on the streets.
- Or may serve as child soldiers.
- Since not everyone went to school not everyone could read or write. Of the people old enough to read, 14 are illiterate they cannot read at all.
- More males are taught to read than females.
- There are 63 adults in the village who could have jobs.
- But only 52 of them were working.
- 6 people who want to work can't find jobs.
- While other 5 are in school.
- There are also another 6 people who are retired.
- Money
- If the money in the village was separated equally each person would have $10,300 US dollars per year.
- But many wasn't divided equally.
- The richest 10 people have nearly 85% of the worlds wealth.
- Each has more than $87,500 a year.
- The poorest 10 people have less than $2 a day.
- The other 80 people have something in between.
- Half the people in the village average is about $6 a day.
- The average cost of food, shelter and necessaries. Is more than $5000 per year.
- Many people don't have enough money to fulfill their basic needs.

- 45 televisions
- 92 have telephones (more than 60 have cell phones.)
- 22 computers.
- There are also 2 trucks, 10 automobiles and 16 bicycles.
- I am so sad because we are so spoiled but yet these kids and adults have to work and have diseases!!
- Energy
- 76 have electricity
- 24 do not.
- Of the 76 who do most use it for light at night.
- But some have other needs.
- They need to manufacture.
- 73 percent of energy is like coal or fossil fuels.
- 17 percent comes from nuclear power.
- 10 percent comes from renewable sources like wind.
- Health
- The life expectancy is 38 in 1850.
- In 1900 it was 48
- But today it's about 61
- One big problem in the village was malaria.
- And 6 people in the village contract that per year.
- Some things to help was shots like 80 percent of the village.

- In 500 B.C.E only 1 person lived in the village.
- In 1C.E. 3 people lived in the village.
- In 1000 5 people lived
- In 1500 8 people lived
- In 1650 10 people lived
- 1800 17 people lived
- In 1900 32 people lived
- In 2011 100 people lived.
- The future
- Today the village of 100 people is growing at the rate of 1.15 people a year.
- 250 might be the maintain or maximum. In the village.
- Fortunately the United Nations and many governments are working hard to make this a god future.
