Once their was a teenager named Jeff. He was just like every other teenager. He was a great baseball player in College and was a pretty hard worker. After he noticed something was wrong about his game like hitting he would keep working at it. Then one day after graduating college and moving on to MLB. He was a projected to be a first round pick and was going to make a lot of money.
‘’ Im really proud of you’’ Said his father and Mother on the day of the draft while they were driving to the draft. He was nervous that he wouldnt get drafted high. Then the first round had passed then more and more. Then in the final round the last overall pick they called his name,
‘’And the Mariners select with the last overall pick Jeff White.’’ He walked up disappointed and took his hat held up the jersey and smiled for the cameras. He was heartbroken and he left the draft. He started spring training in the AA and he started to strike out and get error after error. He stopped trying. All he wanted was to be in the first round and play in the MLB. Then his parents asked him,
‘’Whats wrong. Why arent you playing like you did in college?’’
‘’ I dont want to play baseball anymore.’’
‘’Why?’’
‘’Because I’m not good anymore.’’
‘’ Sure you are. Is this because you didnt get drafted high?’’
‘’Maybe.’’
He started trying again and after lots of hard work and preparation he started moving through the ranks and finally he had his first start ever in the MLB. The moral of the story was to teach you no matter how something doesn't go your way you got to keep trying because some good will go your way.
