Hi my name is Ben Franklin and …..
I was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 17th, 1706. I wanted to write for the paper, but James, my brother, wouldn’t let me because I was only his apprentice. I secretly wrote 16 letters without anyone knowing and signed my name as Silence Dogood. When my brother found out he got mad at me. I escaped to Philadelphia in 1723 to become a printer. The governor of Pennsylvania promised to give me my own business if I went to London to get some printing supplies but he didn’t keep his promise!!! I had to stay in London for a few months to do printing work. When I came back from London I could finally start my own printing business. I once said, “Do not fear mistakes. You will know failure. Continue to reach out.” I am proud of all the accomplishments I have made. I mapped the Gulf Stream, invented swim fins, the lightning rod and musical instruments, and started new colleges. I have failed in some things also. For example, I tried to eliminate the letters C, J, Q, W, X and Y from the alphabet. Obviousl_, I failed! I believed in God and being a good person to make God happy. I believed in combining the practical values of thrift, hard work, education, community spirit, self-governing institutions, and opposition to authority, with the scientific and tolerant values of the Enlightenment. having your own ideas and thinking for yourself. I was the 6th president of Pennsylvania. I was called the first American I earned that name from Inflatable .I belief in freedom for people being able to walk around without another Boston massacre happening. My artifacts are a kite to resemble how I discovered electricity. A printer to show that I loved to do printing. The last item is the American flag to resemble how much I believe in freedom. |
